Style Transfer repaints your photo in a style you name: 'Van Gogh', 'watercolour', 'anime', 'oil painting', 'pencil sketch'. You type the style, and Google's Gemini image model restyles the picture while keeping the main subject and the composition.
You describe the look in words — there is no upload for a reference artwork, so the model works from what it knows about that style or artist. Well-known names and plain descriptions work best. The result is a new image at about one megapixel; if you leave the style empty, the model makes its own artistic choice.
How to use
Sign in and add the photo you want restyled.
Type the target style — an art movement, a medium or a well-known artist.
Start the job (3 credits) and download the result; if the look isn't right, try different wording.
FAQ
Can I upload a painting to copy its style?
No. The style comes only from your text. Name the artist, movement or medium, and add details such as 'thick brush strokes' or 'muted colours' to steer it.
How is this different from Photo to Cartoon?
Photo to Cartoon always produces the same cartoon look. Style Transfer follows whatever style you type, from impressionism to ink drawing.
Will the people in the photo stay recognisable?
The subject and layout are kept, but a strong style changes faces by design — a cubist portrait will not look like a passport photo. Lighter styles such as watercolour keep more of the likeness.
What does it cost, and where is it processed?
3 credits per run, refunded if the job fails; you need an Abzar account. The photo and your style text go encrypted to Google's Gemini API on a paid account (never the free tier) or to a backup provider if it is down.
